The Associate Business Systems Analyst is the liaison between the Ferguson customer groups, departments and Information Technology. This person’s primary responsibility is to work across the team to solution ways to run the business more effectively by leveraging technology as well as revealing data in an organized manner to allow for growth and support our Own Brand business. You must be capable of working independently and effectively collaborate virtually as needed. This is a remote position that can be performed anywhere in the US.
Duties and responsibilities
- Builds tools and reveals data in a structured manner to allow for the team to work smarter and optimally grow Own Brand
- Responsible for initiation, analysis, and documentation of business requirements.
- Understand current state systems and business processes
- Become the domain expert on various projects
- Plays a support role by helping to troubleshoot and resolve issues with current systems and processes.
- Responsible for analyzing the business needs to identify new processes and process improvements that will meet those needs.
- Continually challenge yourself and the team with possibilities for improvement and innovativeness
- Become a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the business and internal teams
- Develop and facilitate groups in pursuit of defining requirements
- Effectively demonstrate functionality to Stakeholders & Product owners to ensure business vision was implemented
- Monitor, audit, and review business use and adoption of systems and technology solutions.
- Provide change management assistance and application support for identified solutions
- Assist in documenting solutions and new business processes as needed
- Assist in training of new processes and/or software as needed
- Support on monthly reports and Ad Hoc projects
- Comply with trouble ticketing system SLAs and Change Management processes to track all activities associated with performing support duties
- Participates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management
- Has no direct or indirect responsibility for supervision of other associates
- Supports enterprise business and sales objectives through the effective and efficient performance of job responsibilities
- Has no budget setting or budgetary authority but may act as part of a team with responsibility for achieving project objectives within an established budget
- Role is classified as Exempt and is not eligible to receive additional compensation for hours worked in excess of the relevant State and Federal standards
- Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is required including arriving at the time scheduled by your supervisor daily

Qualifications
- Applies theoretical professional concepts typically learned from college-level education and has ability to link knowledge to own job area.
- Experience leveraging applications such as Azure, Power Platform, Power BI or similar business intelligence software to create reports and/or other tools
- Proficient in the use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Experience in assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing useful insights.
