Department Description
The Emerging Technology team explores, validates, and implements new and upcoming technologies of relevance to Fidelity’s business and to the financial services industry in general. Our team of research analysts and engineers combine their passion for solving business needs through the lens of these emerging technologies and social trends. We also explore for interesting solutions and ideas across the fintech landscape and use our custom approach to test and validate their offerings in a rapid manner.
The AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) is part of the Emerging Technology team, with a focus on developing Fidelity’s AI Strategy.
We are small and highly specialised in the field of AI & Machine Learning development, solution design and analysis.
CoE is working to advance the adoption of AI within FIL, creating business value, drive teams away from ad hoc practices to comprehensive reuse strategy, help in AI adoption and focus on building AI talent within the organization.

Purpose of the Role
This role will be responsible for implementing AI & Machine Learning solutions on cloud based platforms, explore emerging trends in AI, develop proof-of-concepts and engage with internal and external ecosystem to progress the proof of concepts to production.
This role would also involve applying engineering principles from classifical software development lifecycle to AI & Machine Learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop AI & Machine Learning solutions on cloud based platforms.
- Partner with internal (FIL teams) & external ecosystem to design and deliver AI & ML solutions.
- Explore emerging trends in AI & Machine learning and develop prototypes.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- Strong working experience in a variety of analytical techniques including: multivariate/logistic regression models, cluster analysis, predictive modeling, pricing models, decision trees or other advanced models like in Deep Learning
- Hands-on experience on popular development frameworks like Scikit-learn / TensorFlow / PyTorch.
- Strong experience of developing AI & Machine Learning solutions on cloud platforms like AWS / Microsoft Azure.
- Good understanding of SQL query development.
Familiarity with data platform like SnowFlake would be an added advantage.
Familiarity on MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) would be an added advantage
Familiarity on NLP model development would be an added advantage
