Key Accountabilities
This role is for a Data Engineer who can understand and solves complex functional, technical and practices that covers data and has the ability to understand the end to end data lifecycle capabilities and technologies and provide the engineering guidance in the selection, articulation and use of the chosen tools and technologies.
The successful candidate will be expected to interact with all levels of the business and technical community, seeking strong engagement with all stakeholders.
A candidate who is self-disciplined, with a keenness to master, suggest and work with different technologies & toolsets in the Data DevOps area. The role would also involve intensive interaction with the business and other technology functions, so good communications skills and the ability to work under pressure are is essential.
Experience And Qualifications Required
- 10-14 years of overall IT experience.
Essential Skills
- Hands on data engineering skills on AWS and Snowflake w.r.t. DevOps Capabilities like CI/CD, Code Quality automation, Unit Testing integration etc.
- Practitioner level expertise on Autonomous and Automated pipeline including Change Management steps
- Strong understanding of SQL, Data Components like Ingestion, Processing and Distribution
- Good understanding of data technologies including RDS and No-SQL databases on AWS.
- Exposure to AWS Data Services, SnowSQL/Snowpipe
- Define tools used for design specifications, data modelling and data management capabilities with exploration
- Hands on working knowledge around Jenkins, GitHub, AWS Lambda, VPC’s
- Conversant with DevOps toolset/Services on AWS
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills suitable for a diverse audience, with the ability to communicate in a positive, friendly and effective manner with ‘technical’ or ‘non-technical’ users/ customers
- Good problem solving skills as the core ability
