About the opportunity
Department Description
The ISS Technology Department provides systems development, business analysis, architecture & engineering, implementation and support services for FIL’s Investment Management, Investment Services & Fund Accounting, Business Finance and several other business groups globally. The department supports the business units catering to the entirety of FIL’s Investment Process for all asset classes in all of FIL’s international locations, including London, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Mumbai.
Purpose of the Role
Senior Business Analyst would support the requirements, design and test phases of the FIS Invest One SaaS Migration and help drive the transition of the new Invest One architecture into Operational BAU, whilst also providing collaboration support to development teams and stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
- Document the business outcomes and opportunities in relation to FIS Invest One SaaS Migration
- Evaluate the business outcomes relating to FIS Invest One SaaS Migration to determine options, derive recommendations that help address the required business outcomes
- Assist in the development and support plan for ongoing FIS Invest One SaaS Business Support Target Operating Model
- Lead, participate and facilitate in requirement / design session with appropriate stakeholders
Provide subject matter expertise in Fund Accounting
Experience and Qualifications Required
- Very strong operational experience in the fund administration industry at least 5 years with a strong knowledge of Reference Data,Market data and other critical entities of Finance
- Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the Financial industry
- High sense of urgency with ability to drive results
- Ability to work with operational teams to elicit and formally define their requirements, and break down into EPICs and User Stories
- Experience with Agile methodology, writing user stories, attending scrum calls, prioritising backlog, etc.
- Exposure to data governance frameworks
- Experience of system testing and creating acceptance criteria / test scripts
- An understanding of Fund Accounting and a willingness to develop understanding in this area
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Be flexible and adaptable, able to work on multiple projects at any one time
