Job Description:
As a Business Analyst Consultant within the Defined Benefit Operation, you blend deep Defined Benefit domain expertise with a passion for collaboration, innovation and client management. You will actively work with Systems, Agile squads, domain leads, functional leads and Client Services to support the strategic direction of the business, handle highly complex Plan and Participant issues to resolution and work with domain experts to solution client improvements and enhancements through corporate actions & change orders. You will also engage with other lines of business on projects that have an effect on other Defined Benefit products and services. You will serve has the Defined Benefit domain authority, often leading the organizations complex issues to closure.
The Team
This role will reside within Workplace Investing Defined Benefit Operations division. You will be responsible for handling and coordinating the delivery of Defined Benefit business reporting, contractual obligations, and internal scale & efficiency initiatives. You will support DB’s interests in collaborating with the cross product/functional SME’s, Center of Excellence and BIDS across Fidelity. You will work to solve problems and be empowered to make decisions based on trends, issues, and business drivers.
The Expertise We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s Degree and/or 8+ years of business analytics or project management experience

Working knowledge of Employee Benefit Plan Terminology, concepts & administrative practices

Ability to balance day to day management of several project related responsibilities and tasks including prioritized requests. Experience in Project Management and/or Analytics

Experience in consulting or corporate work experience, passionate about using data to uncover insights that drive action and presenting analyses to technical and non-technical audiences.

Working experience with data analytics, SQL, visualization tools, including Tableau, TOAD

Sophisticated Software testing experience

Sophisticated process and technology skills; ability to understand end to end processes and translate requirements to enable standardization and automation with little to no mentorship

Good communication, both verbal and written; ability to implement/facilitate change. Proficient with presentation design

Forward looking, analytic, continuous improvement mentality. Demonstrate a mix of analytics and technical skills. Ability to analyze/coordinate large amounts of data

Project consulting experience including requirement discovery and solution design

Sophisticated expertise in Defined Benefit technology relevant to responsibilities, including communications, languages, environments, operating systems and databases. Core understanding of the Configuration elements and their relation to user interface and business processes

Lead planning activities and other relevant meetings

Negotiate with client services and management to focus on the high priority work

Evaluate requests from other areas of the firm to determine impact to the processes you serve and represent DB’s operational interests to senior leadership. Evaluate/serve as SME for system/process improvements and changes

Collaborate with Leads or Vendors as requirement clarifications are needed

Lead multiple highly sophisticated projects and complete project work on time and on budget to support high quality, profitable service delivery

Own and analyze operational issues and recommend business solutions, based on knowledge of client’s plan design and system functionality.
