Job Title –Business Analyst – DB Projects
The Purpose of This Role:
The ‘Business Analyst’ for Defined Benefits (DB) Projects team is responsible for analyzing business, systems and processes to identify user needs, document requirements and address operations issues and improvements to accomplish the business objectives. Act as the liaison between end users and operational, configuration or systems areas. Analysts are required to complete specific project work in support of profitable and outstanding client service delivery and act as a resource regarding client benefit plans and system functionality. The role requires good understanding of the DB Retirement domain, upstream and downstream impact of each step in the administration process. It also involves working closely with partner teams in Fidelity US to deliver solutions that meet both client and internal expectations
The Value You Deliver:
As an Analyst you would be supporting end-to-end of a project and plays the role of Project Management having an interaction with multiple partners. Coordinating with multiple partners is a vital role in the Projects team to make sure we deliver as per timelines. You would be working with data issues to fix in the system, extracting details from the system to deliver to the clients for various projects. The responsibilities you would be handling are:
- Provide business support for major Corporation Action and Implementation by playing a key analyst role in deliverables.
- Lead Change Order Management and Ongoing projects by scoping, establishing project plan, crafting business requirements documents and managing project from kick-off to closure.
- Work with Client service team, MD, SDLs, clients and third party to build business requirements document, scope project, estimation and billing.
- Involve in the complete project from discovery phase to estimation, planning, designing, configuration, testing, support, monitoring and reporting.
- Provide Data Analysis and summary reporting for given requirements on identifying population by assessing system gaps, risk analysis and impact analysis.
- Building sophisticated SQL scripts for huge data pull, analysis, and data updates.
- Build deep understanding of DB systems, configuration, and infrastructure.
- Support any testing and production validation activity on Data Update, Configuration update and Bug fix.
- Plays the role of a Techno-Functional Consultant and provides design solutions and suggestions.
- Takes part in design meetings for new process implantations/ non-standard requirements
- Complete activities related to producing client-specific content, fulfilling internal and external data requests, and performing plan service reviews and enablement activities
- Participate in regular weekly team meetings/calls, monthly/quarterly collaboration sessions, ad hoc Design Thinking sessions Perform user acceptance testing on newly automated or enhanced SRS User Developed Applications (UDAs) as needed
- Lead and handle (run) client remediation efforts like updating data to system, fixing process gaps, developing controls and improving current client satisfaction.
- Understand how to avoid risk in role by following established procedures and keeping procedures current
- Proactively identify issues, process improvement, automation innovation and cost saving ideas.

- Experience Project management, project plan, scoping, estimation, and resource planning. End-to-end understanding of project management life cycle to handle the daily deliverables.
- Hands-on with SQL, Data Analytics, analyzing trends, deriving inferences, and reporting to partners.
- Excellent logical reasoning and analytical thinking
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills are required.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is a must.
- Identify, initiate and implement efficiencies that result in improved quality and effectiveness in the projects.
- Active listening skills and excellent written and oral communications skill are essential for interactions with our users.
The Skills that are Good To Have for this role:
- Experience in the Defined Benefit Retirement/401k/Defined Contribution is a plus
- Thrive for process improvements. Conceptualization and owing the idea to its closure/implementation.
- Knowledge of basic Algorithms
Technical / Behavioral:
- Good command over PL/SQL
- Proficient knowledge on Excel Macro / VBA.
- Exposure to BI tools like Power BI / Tableau
- Personal computing skills, including proficiency with Microsoft office products (Word, Project, and PowerPoint). Advanced knowledge of Excel and Access.

Defined Benefits (Retirement Services) supports our business partners in the US in servicing corporate / institutional customers in benefits administration vertical. This involves moving the customers to the Fidelity platform and supporting their ongoing record-keeping needs. This is done through a series of processes, both technical and non-technical, that helps a customer to use our products and services. The main focus of the team is on Defined Benefits
The Expertise We’re Looking For:
- 8+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree holder with relevant domain/Project management experience is preferable.

Shift timings: 1:00 pm – 10:00pm
