Job Title – DirectorData Science and Analytics
The Purpose of This Role
Fidelity is seeking a very senior level data scientist for the Enterprise Infrastructure and Analytics team with extensive experience in advanced analytics and AIOps, as well as strong background in AI/data science ethics, machine learning, natural language processing, predictive and prescriptive analytics. Additionally, the successful candidate is expected to have significant leadership experience in a corporate or consulting environment, in addition to strong academic qualifications and research background.
The successful candidate will be very hands-on and will be capable of supporting projects across many areas with the highest degree of quality. They will have a proven record of assuring quality of data gathering and analysis, be a team player who thrives in a high performing work environment and acts with confidence to collaborate with all levels of technology leaders and business leaders across Fidelity.
The Value You Deliver
As a member of the Enterprise Infrastructure – Foundational Tools organization, you will play a critical role in ideating, designing, and implementing data analytics projects end-to-end.
- Develop and deliver vision, strategy and roadmap for Advanced analytics tools and systems for Technology data like incidents, changes, tickets, logs, metrics, traces and other application data.
- Develop Frameworks and guide data science and data engineering elements of AI & data science projects
- Translate use cases to analytics agenda, including data, approach and validation strategy
- Develop best practices for data science, considering the full analytical lifecycle
- Develop guidelines for the evaluation of new analytical tools and platforms
- Present reports and findings to senior level technical and non-technical audiences
- Proactively identify business opportunities and solutions
- Research cutting-edge techniques, industry best practices, tools, and systems
- Interpret results and drawing key business insights from advanced quantitative analyses
- Lead and guide analytics projects across business groups
Key Responsibilities
- Full accountability and ownership for direction, vision, strategy, roadmap, engineering, and execution of Enterprise Infrastructure Data Analytics and AIOps projects
- Ensuring constant engagement with stakeholders at regular intervals to understand their needs and deliver business value in the most effective and timely manner.
The Skills that are Key to this role
Technical Expertise
- Validated experience in leading the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver quantifiable business results.
- Experience in projects involving large scale-multi dimensional databases, sophisticated business
infrastructure, and multi-functional teams.
- Knowledge of most of the following quantitative fields: Machine Learning, Advanced Statistical
Analysis & Modeling, Recommendation Systems, Deep Learning, Causal Inference & Program
Evaluation, Reinforcement Learning, Behavioral Economics, Design of Experiments, Multi-
Objective Optimization, Bayesian Statistics, and Natural Language Processing
- Demonstrated ability of executing and delivering projects using Deep learning frameworks like
Tensorflow and/or Pytorch
- Strong data proficiency, exploratory data analysis, data visualization, and storytelling skills
- Knowledge of well-designed experiments and statistical analysis concepts
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies and Cloud Computing would be a plus
- Experience in implementing and supporting enterprise products and solutions
- Architectural-level understanding of IT infrastructure and applications and Exposure to DevOps and Agile practices would be an added advantage
- Master’s in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology,
- Computational Statistics, Operations Research, Machine Learning, or Business or related
- technical fields a plus.
- 10+ years’ experience in IT across a broad range of technologies, with 5+ years specific experience in working in data science / analytics technologies

- connect with both business and technical teams.
- Significant experience with Agile methodologies
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
