Job Title : Software Engineering – Cloud Platform (Python & AWS)
The Software Engineer with expertise and experience in developing scripts/APIs for application deployments in cloud environment including new developments, enhancements, maintenance and support. This will involve continuous collaboration with partners, iterative understanding of requirements, following best practices / methodologies, thorough understanding of the technology roadmap, advancement to design / development process. It is also expected for candidate to have exposure to Cloud Computing and developer associate certification is preferable.
The Purpose of Your Role
Asset Management Technology (AMT) Cloud Platform team is looking for a passionate Lead Software Engineer with strong programming fundamentals, software design and practices to help enable our journey to the cloud. The candidate will bring expertise and experience in developing and deploying cloud native applications with Python. This will involve continuous collaboration with partners, iterative understanding of requirements, following best practices / methodologies, thorough understanding of the technology roadmap, advancement to design / development process. It is also expected for candidate to have exposure to regular application development lifecycle and AWS certification is preferable.
The Skills that are Key to this role

2+ years’ experience delivering applications and services in a distributed environment.

Application development experience using Python with strong debugging and performance tuning acumen.

Familiarity with Amazon Web Service capabilities (AWS Certification is recommended and/or preferred).

Solid familiarity with Container based application deployments.

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes will be preferred.

Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins/Concourse etc.

Experience executing the Software Development Lifecycle in an agile environment

Strong technical acumen with a strategic and innovative mindset and an ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
