The Role
You will be member of a multi-functional agile delivery squad where you will design and develop robust data centric software solutions. You will work on modernizing distributed data management solutions to align with the enterprise goal to move toward cloud-based solutions. You will seek opportunities to realize innovative ideas that drive business value. You will be an integral member on the team who leads in setting Software Engineering best practices and standards.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Passion for developing data applications and knowledge of data modeling, data movement, and data access design patterns.
- Proven experience building batch applications using technologies like Java, Spring Batch, Python, Control-M and SQL
- Experience in managing code and deployment pipelines using Git and Jenkins
- Partner with technical leads to make clear, simple, and technically sound design decisions.
- Accept continuous improvement regarding application quality and stability.
- Being candid and honest in all discussions to ensure the best outcomes.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
- Cloud certification such as AWS, Azure a plus
The Team
The FI Data & Analytics Technology team develops and supports data-intensive applications in support of operational, data lake, and analytical data needs. You will be part of a highly innovative data engineering team that delivers data solutions in support of our FI Business partners.
Our business unit Fidelity Institutional Business Enablement Technology (FIBET) resides under Fidelity Institutional, which is a suite of Fidelity Investment businesses and support groups that offers financial professionals and institutions access to the products, services, and investments they need to service their clients and grow their businesses.
