Job Description:

The Global Data Services (GDS) team within Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) is a global, investment data management organization that specializes in the sourcing, analysis, integration, management and distribution of security, index, and portfolio data. GDS provides these data services for reference, evaluative, performance and analytical data in support of global investment decision making organizations. Data Management Operations (DMO), a division of GDS, specializes in managing, integrating, and validating vendor and Fidelity-defined data associated with investment entities (securities, issues, brokers, funds, portfolios, and index data).

Dublin: 12.30pm – 9.00pm


The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor degree in Business/Finance or Related Field required
  • 2+ of relevant experience working in a Mutual Fund Operations, Business Analysis, and/or Data Analyst role within a Financial Services Company
  • Experience with systems such as Bloomberg, CusipWeb and OBIEE preferred
  • Experience consulting and partnering with range of internal business partners
  • Analytical tools such as SQL is desired

The Purpose of Your Role

This position will be responsible for the day-to-day activities ensuring all client requests are met within the 30min SLA on the helpdesk. The Associate Investment Data Analyst will perform critical functions to support daily operations. Including investment entity set-up for the respective trading desks, perform detailed data analysis, and identify and resolve data issues. Quality, accuracy, and timeliness are critical to the success of this function. We are seeking a highly motivated and responsive team player with the ability to work under pressure on a 30minute SLA. Our work is highly collaborative and involves close coordination and excellent communication with our internal clients, market data vendors and key business and technology partners across Fidelity.


The Skills You Bring

  • Experience with investment securities and Bloomberg
  • Working knowledge of all product types including but not limited to Equities, Derivatives and Fixed Income.
  • Excellent understanding and application of MS Office tools specifically Excel with knowledge of R Studio an advantage
  • Strong time management skills – We work to a 30minute SLA for trading requests that can have implications if missed
  • Strong detailed analytical skills with ability to clearly interpret business and data requirements and communicate meaningful results
  • Must be able to recognize high-risk items and escalate those items or seek assistance to minimize impact to clients
  • Ability to adapt quickly as production issues or high priority items arise
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well on teams and in fast-paced, cross-collaborative environments
  • Working closely with technology team to assist in the analysis and resolution of production support issues
  • Experience working on small to medium scale projects where acute attention to detail was critical to success

  • Works with team to identify process improvements and seek solutions
  • Participates in department processes such as RCSA
  • Providing exceptional service to customers by executing their requests in an accurate and timely manner
