About the Team
The Managed Service Team is a group of dynamic, knowledgeable, and collaborative individuals, who utilize their business and technology expertise to provide day-to-day solutions and support for multiple systems within FIS Capital Markets. Our team of IT professionals design, test, and implement complex functionalities, leveraging financial concepts and cutting-edge technology.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Managed Service Analyst, you will bring a fresh perspective to intricate technical cases, while broadening your knowledge of in-house developed applications. The ideal candidate works well with cross functional teams in understanding key functions of our systems, and effectively communicates decisions across our global teams.
- Utilize deep-rooted financial concepts to provide well-designed functions for our financial systems
- Learn new technical concepts and how our applications utilize them
- Research new technology that can improve our systems
- Assess the risks of various solutions and prioritize competing business demands
- Coordinate project delivery by participating in design reviews and walk-throughs, communicate designs, and validate proposed solutions
- Design test plans to further validate new functions or improvements on existing functions
- Collaborate with relationship managers, Business Development, daily support teams, QA, Operations, and direct clients
- Participate in functionality testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), as well as document test cases and results
- Follow change management process for implementing change deployment
- Leverage subject-matter experts (SMEs) across the organization to enhance skills as an independent contributor
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
- Typically, 6 months to 1 year of experience with SQL queries, data structures, Windows and/or Linux operating systems/commands
- Basic knowledge of Java/OOP (Object-Oriented Programming)
- Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to change priorities/adapt when circumstances require it
- Capable of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced, complex work environment
- Clear, concise, and professional communication, both verbally and written
Added Bonus If You Have
- Shell scripting, Powershell/CMD experience
- Experience in financial services or fintech industry
- Knowledge of derivatives or OTC trading
- Advanced Excel skills
