What you will be doing ?
This position is with Retirement group with following responsibilities:
The SDET will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive suites of automation test plans and test cases, maintaining and adding to existing automation framework, continued evaluation of test cases for inclusion in regression, automation for newly integrated features, and development of toolsets to augment QA and Development testing.
The SDET will work closely with Software Engineers, Business Analysts, and Tech Leads in a scrum team to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.
This is a hands-on, full development lifecycle role which provides an opportunity to solve complex business, data and technical challenges. As a key contributor throughout the entire development cycle, you will be required to think outside the box and bring cutting edge technology in-house.
What you bring ?
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Able to learn and understand application and business functions quickly and iteratively
- Senior testing experience – able to create full coverage testing scenarios for all phases of testing and design and configure test data in a fast-paced sprint environment
- Demonstrable passion for technology (e.g., personal projects, open-source involvement) while using their problem-solving capabilities to deliver solutions utilizing a top end engineering approach, enthusiasm for learning and results oriented
- Understanding of ATDD, TDD, and other test automation methodologies
- Familiarity with a variety of programming styles (e.g., OO, functional) and in-depth knowledge of design patterns
Skills
- Senior experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Protractor, Typescript, Node JS , Unity, Cypress, Git, Sonar, Fortify, Rally, JMeter
- Hands-on AWS experience: Certifications a plus, proven experience implementing and testing Lambda solutions a plus.
- Solid database querying knowledge required. Preference for MS SQL Server and Oracle
- Experience developing test data generators required
- Solid knowledge Java development with API and RESTful services testing required
Good to have skills includes
- HTML
- IIS
- Web services – System Level API, SOAP & REST
NOT SEEKING: Test Leads or Scrum Masters. Resumes with “contributed to or involved in” are not the skills we are looking for; the team is looking for doers. This role is not for QA analysts, or automation engineers. We are seeking a hands-on, Software Engineer/SDET with core Java skills. This role will require the candidate to be able to hit ground running on 2-week sprints.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and learn new processes and technologies quickly
- Previous experience in the Financial Services Industry, specifically as related to defined contribution and define benefits administration
