At Foot Locker Inc. the Enterprise and Finance Analytics team is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Data Team within Foot Lockerโ€™s Global Technology Solutions (GTS) Department. The candidateโ€™s role will involve integration, maintenance and migration of reporting/dashboards/analytic solutions. The ideal candidate will be able to analyze, communicate, and interpret data to corporate leadership in a timely and accurate manner. This Data Analyst will work in a fully remote manner.


Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the development of highly confidential internal reporting/analytic solutions.
  • Provide decision support to other departments within the Foot Locker organization.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and automation of existing processes to increase organizational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present accurate, well-supported financial analysis and reports.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with integration, maintenance and migration of operational reports utilizing Excel, VBA, Access, SQL Server and Power BI systems.
  • Understand business requirements and develop innovative analytic solutions; Provide guidance to business on use and interpretation.
  • Research and troubleshoot problems & questions related to deployed analytic solutions.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years minimum reporting/analytics experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Access, Powerpoint, etc) required
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of Jira, SQL Server and Power BI required
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of VBA preferred
  • Knowledge of analytical tools such as R or Python preferred
  • Predictive analytics and complex data modeling skills a plus.
  • Must be able to construct meaningful analysis with broad guidance.
  • Must be highly motivated and be able to work remotely both independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be detailed oriented and have strong interpersonal, problem-solving and organization skills.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of statistics, data mining techniques/procedures and query and report writing.
  • Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner.
  • Must be able to think creatively and critically.
  • Requires extensive attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
