What youโ€™ll be able to do:

  • Responsible for designing the transformation and modernization of Ford’s big data solutions on GCP cloud integrating native GCP services and 3rd party data technologies.
  • Responsible for supporting Transformation Enterprise Manager (TEM) on a day-to-day basis.
  • Responsible for deploying TEM UI on Data Factory GCP and supporting/executing a direct interface to GCP tools as well as creating DAGs and executing them on Astronomer/Airflow.
  • Support the new End-to-End design for migration of all current Hadoop sources into Data Factory GCP that include Ingestion, Classification, Standardization, Masking/Encryption, Provisioning and Access.
  • Build Data Factory User Interface (UI) screens, where required, utilizing Angular Frameworks, SpringBoot Services, Java, and Pivotal Cloud Foundry.


The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field of study
  • 5+ years of experience with large scale solutioning and operationalization of data warehouses, data lakes and analytics platforms on GCP
  • 3+ years of application development experience required including GCP knowledge.


Our preferred requirements:

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field of study
  • have a broad set of technology skills across these areas and who can demonstrate an ability to design right solutions with appropriate combination of GCP and 3rd party technologies for deploying on GCP cloud.
  • In-depth understanding of Google’s product technology and underlying architectures.
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of GCP based Big Data deployments (Batch/Real-Time) leveraging Big Query, Big Table, Google Cloud Storage, Pub-Sub, Data Fusion, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud functions etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to coordinate and establish trust and positive relationships across teams
