WHO YOU ARE

The Marketing Data & Analytics Engineer is a jack-of-many trades position of the data and analytics world. FoundSM is seeking a developer with a strong understanding of web analytics and data engineering.

Ideally, you are a highly detail-oriented individual who wants to understand the ins-and-outs of our data platforms. You get excited about digging deep into the various systems and looking for ways to improve them.

THE ROLE

The Marketing Data & Analytics Engineer is responsible for the daily management of our internal and external reports and data platforms. This role reports to our Data & Analytics Engineer team lead or Director of Data Intelligence & Web Optimization.

Your tasks will include architecting data pipelines to bring in data from our ad platform APIs; setting up connectors for sending leads to our clients’ CRMs; and building applications to facilitate the sharing of first-party downstream data.

You’ll occasionally interact with clients and vendors through email, phone calls, or in-person meetings so your excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills will come in handy.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ROUTINE ACTIVITIES

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines with Ad and Analytics Platforms, and CRMs
  • Build and maintain applications responsible for posting leads to our clients’ CRMs and internal systems
  • Assist the Paid Media Analytics team with building both internal and external dashboards
  • Coordinate with landing page team to ensure required attribution fields are being captured in their forms
  • QA & troubleshoot existing reports and data pipelines
  • Maintain knowledge of best practices within data engineering, web analytics, and digital marketing
  • Identify trends, wins, and losses and communicate to teams and clients
  • Improve and maintain internal and external documentation
  • Coordinate with the paid media team on specific needs for reports and data needs
  • Maintain high level of client knowledge for designated client

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • BA/BS in Informatics, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, or other related fields
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Data Engineer or related role
  • Experience in Back-end web development, with a focus on data engineering – Node.js, PHP, Python
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, in relation to web analytics and data manipulation
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform service, e.g. BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of paid digital advertising, via Google Ads, Facebook Ads, others
  • Familiarity with Google App Script
  • Understands how to properly analyze qualitative and quantitative data
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills

BONUS SKILLS

  • Intermediate Python/R skills
  • Experience with machine-learning
  • Experience with Laravel
  • Experience in implementing conversion tracking
  • Experience with Google Data Studio and/or Tableau
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics
  • Experience with Funnel
  • Experience in demand generation and/or marketing analytics
