Roles and Responsibilities :
Data Visualization Engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Discuss, understand and document client/ business requirements
- Able to filter through ambiguity present in business problems and come up with a well-
structured methodology - Translate requirements into set of analytical requirements/ tasks ranging from data collection, cleaning, ETL, schema design, data modelling, visualization and end-user interactions
Collection: Identify data requirements, work with client/ business to source data, brainstorm, ideate and collect proxy data, work with vendors to source third-party data, review and identify data gaps and work with partners to source the same
Cleaning and ETL: Evaluate raw data quality, work with sourcing partners to resolve quality issues, suggest and implement quality checks and fixes as needed, design ETL processes as needed for visualization o
Schema Design and Data Modeling: Translate business needs to most efficient schema design from end-user performance perspective
Visualization: Translate business requirements into wireframes, align with client/ business, and finally, build dashboards on the required visualization platform (PowerBI/ Tableau) including creating measures in respective syntax (e.g., DAX in Power BI)
- Monitor dashboard performance and improve measures and visuals to optimize load times
and improve user experience - Enforce quality standards through self-checklists, and promote and enforce dashboarding
best practices on projects - Work independently on business problems and generate meaningful insights. Proactively
identify, prioritize, and conduct analysis that identifies actionable insights. Articulate
analysis findings efficiently with client/ business - Engage with clients/ business to provide regular progress updates, timelines, and proactively flag/ escalate potential risks/ challenges faced
- Coach and guide new team members on visualization tools (PowerBI/ Tableau)
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement gathering, timeline estimation and problem solving
- Daily work planning, guiding and coaching team
- Project delivery from data collection to final visualization, testing, and deployment
- Recommend better visuals and design custom visuals, KPI scorecards, and dashboards in
Power BI Desktop/ Tableau - Quality control and accuracy assurance
- Staying up to date with new developments and functionalities in visualization tools
(Power BI/ Tableau)
Desired Candidate Profile :
- Any engineering degree, preferably in IT and computer science or BSc/ MSc in Computer
Science - Minimum 2-3 years hands-on tool and project experience. Experience of working directly
with clients is preferable - Tool Skills: Advance-level Power BI and/ or Advance-level Tableau
- Additional skills: Excel and SQL; Analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Good oral and written English-medium communication skills
Project and Client Experience:
- Experienced with working on one or more of the following on live projects:
- Power BI Pro, Power BI Premium, Power BI Embedded, Power Apps, Tableau Server, Tableau
Prep - Experience in projects across industries and business functions
- Experience in client interactions and actively contributing to client calls
