The Strategic Pricing Analyst role is part of the global Pricing and Revenue Management team within American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT). The Global Pricing Team is responsible for developing offers to support the acquisition and retention of travel services from corporations. The team aims to optimize our competitive premium offers by balancing profitability, the value to our customers and the strategic value to American Express Global Business Travel.
The ideal candidate for this role must be energized by working with large volumes of data, enjoy the challenge of complex business contexts and is adept at partnering with business stakeholders to identify opportunities that improve processes and create efficiency. The analyst must be an effective communicator, a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, have a keen attention to detail and enjoy working on a global team within a fast-paced industry. The analyst in this position will mainly support the Meetings and Events (ME) commercial organization as well as Business Travel, when required.
The successful candidate will:
- Partner with various teams to support client acquisition and retention efforts, support deal development, contract negotiations and finalization of client deliverables.
- Validate and analyze pricing requests and determine the appropriate course of action.
- Update, maintain and validate price lists, client templates and internal financial documents. Ensure that the pricing is aligned with commercial negotiations, legal terms and conditions.
- Work with the Global Pricing Team to support ad hoc requests

- A Business or Finance degree.
- Proficient Excel skills including the creation of advanced formulas and segmenting data in Pivot Tables is required.
- Knowledge of the travel industry is a plus.
