Job Detail:
In this role, you will have primary responsibility for Power BI, MS SQL Server-based ETL processing and reporting for the company. We offer a dynamic work environment in a quickly growing company with multiple acquisition targets.
What you’ll do
- Build SQL queries, procedures, and tables; convert them into leverageable data cubes within Power BI
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal team members to maintain a scalable BI architecture with a particular focus on acquisition-related data
- Prioritize reporting requests to align with business needs
- Provide accurate estimates on the time needed to complete requests
- Build and maintain appropriate validation procedures to ensure BI information is accurate and timely
- Provide monthly analysis on BI usage and adoption
- Develop processes and procedures to migrate data from acquired companies’ systems to the primary BI environment
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, and/or related program or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of related experience in SQL Server development, SSIS packages and advanced skills with SSIS
- Proficiency in creating SQL jobs utilizing SSIS packages
- Strong background in Microsoft SQL, stored procedures and RDBMS concepts
- Experience working with MS Power BI; building and maintaining an Enterprise Data Warehouse and related ETL processes
- Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve system problems
- Knowledge and understanding of functional business areas: e.g., General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales Orders, Purchasing and Inventory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
