The Research Analyst provides engagement support, learning, and technical assistance to stakeholders and participants in Veterans Health Administration (VHA) value-based payment model initiatives. This position will apply core consulting capabilities, including conducting data analysis and synthesizing findings into recommendations and solutions, bridging the gap between the organizations high-level mission, vision, and capabilities and the people, process, and technical solutions, considering identified constraints and existing technology.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Serve as a stakeholder engagement leader, identifies high-value stakeholders, engaging them in regular communication, gaining credibility among pilot partners by word of mouth from other pilot partners, and showing value.
- Support proactive efforts to engage stakeholders and develop opportunities to collect stakeholder inputs at regular working group meetings.
- Bring program expertise in the VHA clinical operations and health care delivery to Veterans.
- Present recommendations to the internal team and the client, clearly articulating the solution concept and how it supports the business strategy
- Assist with development of a training plan for participants that includes stakeholder input and opportunities for engagement (e.g., stakeholder insights and vignettes from provider/patients)
- Assist with dissemination plan that includes the professional, academic, and literature.
- Assist with a train-the-trainer program that allows individuals at one pilot to train next-level individuals, as well as to promote the impacts of their programs on their patients’ outcomes.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- BA/BS in health informatics or related field preferred; and 7+ years of experience
- 2+ years of related experience and/or training preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with health services data for research, analysis or reporting purposes
- Experience working with data products, data documentation, and data delivery
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have analytic capability.
- High proficiency with MS Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience with telecommuting, working from a home office.
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting.

The likely salary range for this position is $59,200 – $88,800, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
