Job Detail:
The Scientific Data Analyst drives the implementation of complex biomedical data modeling projects. As a member of the data science and product teams, the Scientific Data Analyst works on a wide variety of highly detailed scientific and medical data projects related to specific customer implementations as well as core product development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with colleagues and customers to achieve meaningful discussions regarding data outputs and feedback
Extract data from primary sources reliably
Develop expertise in working with clinical and genomic data
Hold discussions and prepare materials for colleagues and superiors.
Lead debate and problem solving.
Use formal methodologies to understand and solve complex problems
Determine root causes, and apply the scientific method to test, validate and reformulate hypotheses. Form recommendations.
Escalate program issues and risks to identify solutions.
Develop and implement project plans and timelines
Create procedures to transform, harmonize, and model project data
Prepare and perform customer training
Work closely with the product development team on the definition, testing, and evaluation of new products and features
Skills:
Working knowledge of genomics including tools, technologies, and data resources
Understanding of data transformation operations such as string operations, numerical scaling, terminology mappings, etc.
Knowledge of one high level scripting or programming language
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Solid understanding of the biomedical domain with an emphasis on fields related to precision medicine including molecular biology, genetics, cancer biology, medical terminologies and coding systems, biomedical ontologies
Strong analytical and technical skills with ability to analyze issues, assess technical risks, and recommend sound solutions in a timely manner
Works independently with general supervision and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Education:
Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree

Our Base Pay Range for this position
$30.11 – $50.18
