In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing assigned materials and/or services from approved and qualified suppliers to support required delivery dates within threshold limits.
Responsibilities
- Support supply chain team to achieve business requirements and ensure compliance with company’s procurement policies.
- Analyze and evaluate quotations to assure compliance with bid requirements.
- Review purchase requisitions for accuracy.
- Communicate to suppliers purchase requirements, purchase order changes, delivery requirements and order prioritization.
- Execute purchase orders and edit purchase orders.
- Prepare supporting documents and materials during the procurement process.
- Closure of Purchase orders as per organization policies.
- Maintain accurate purchasing files in compliance with company record keeping policies and potential audit trails.
- Maintain and Verify Supplier documents and certifications.
- Work on new Supplier set up supplier/s in system as per organization policies
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum qualifications
- Any Graduate
- Rich work experience in Procurement and Supplier Management.
- Good work experience in Automotive Industry.
- Good command over English language (Speaking, Reading and Writing)
- Should have good understanding of entire supply chain processes in manufacturing industry.
- Should have good knowledge of MS-Office applications like Excel, Word, Power point, Outlook etc.
- Understanding of ISO and IATF supplier certifications
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience and/or proficiency in using ERP systems; SAP preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment, while simultaneously managing multiple high-priority initiatives.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of internal customers.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with suppliers and all levels of company personnel.
- Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional team oriented environment.
- Ability to research, analyze data, and clearly/concisely present conclusions.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma / Lean Concepts
