Your hiring manager can share more about this role’s hybrid or remote time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.
Hybrid-or-Remote: This position may be a hybrid or fully remote position, as decided by your manager. If designated as hybrid, you’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office location, so you should live within commuting distance. If designated as remote, you’ll be working remotely from your home and may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for designation.
What you’ll get to do…
As a Machine Learning Engineer for GoDaddy.com, you will
- Work with ML Scientists to optimize, deploy, and monitor batch and real-time models which solve business problems across various business units at GoDaddy
- Partner with teams across the company on applications which require ML solutions
- Collaborate on a high impact, mission-driven Scrum team
Participate in DevOps, release, and on-call activities in support of your code Contribute to technology working groups and internal open source - Work on optimizing the Machine Learning models by discovering and fixing dataset problems to improve accuracy
- Work with DevOps, network engineers, and data experts to resolve production issues.
- Participate in quarterly and annual roadmap planning to help inform our product roadmap
- Document machine learning and engineering processes at GoDaddy
- Architect services and pipelines which are resilient to disruptions and failures to ensure high uptime
- Continuously improve agile practices within the team
Your experience should include…
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree, with excellent computer science fundamentals
- 1+ years of experience in developing and shipping software
- Experience with at least one compiled language like C++/Java and one scripting language like Python/R
- Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and monitoring production services and data pipelines
- Experience building highly available distributed systems leveraging cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
- Experience optimizing the end-to-end performance of distributed systems
- Experience with large scale data processing systems (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) preferred
- Passion for collaboration and teamwork as well as a strong drive to learn, grow, and help engineers to do the same
You might also have…
- Experience in software design of big-data solutions or applied Machine Learning
- Experience in A/B testing platforms
- Experience in data engineering and with related technologies, like Airflow
- Experience with distributed infrastructure technology, like Kubernetes
- Experience in data science and with related technologies, like Hive
- Experience in an Agile software development environment
- Demonstrated experience upgrading and improving CI/CD processes especially with Git
- Experience designing, building, and shipping backend systems with multiple tiers, including API, caching, and data access layers
