Minimum qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in an analytical role, as a business analyst at a technology, financial services, or online commerce company
- Experience with SQL, querying, and analyzing data sets
Preferred qualifications:
- 4 years of experience with databases, SQL coding across standard commercial databases (e.g., Teradata, MySQL), and statistics tools (e.g., R, Python)
- Experience partnering with Engineering (e.g., data schemas, instrumentation, debugging, experimentation)
- Experience with leading regular interactions and communications with a executive management
- Experience partnering with Product Management (e.g., creating analytical business cases, engaging on PRDs, and deriving analytical product insights)
- Knowledge of statistical/ML techniques (e.g., Decision trees, Logistic regression, Random Forest etc.)
- Excellent partnership and cross-functional collaboration skills

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. As the Product Analytics Lead, you will work on data reporting, and analytics and are passionate about metrics, quantitative analytics as well as analytical tools and techniques. You will be a trusted thought partner to Product/Engineering using data-driven insights to influence the product strategy and other product decisions. As a senior member of the team, you will lead the coordination across functions to create analytics frameworks to dissect abstract business, product, growth and retention problems. You will also be a leader on the Product Analytics team, setting the team agenda, managing and coaching other analysts.

Responsibilities
- Advocate for data/metrics/analytics/experimentation across the Google Pay India team, and help set the agenda for the Product Analytics team
- Lead analytical problem-solving and deep dives with Product/Engineering/UX including and identifying key trends, uncovering insights, scoping opportunities, and influencing product strategy
- Optimize performance of Merchant App, Operations, Growth features and user journeys, including designing and running product experiments
- Drive the analytics stack on business problems, from metric definitions to working with engineering teams to build data schemas and elements, to ad hoc insights, to experimentation to optimization
- Grow and manage the Google Pay India Merchant Analytics team and provide mentorship and coaching to all analysts
