Job Location: Redmond, WA
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in design and analysis of electro-mechanical systems.
- 2 years of experience in industrial robots or controllers.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 10 years of experience in industry in material movement systems design.

5 years of experience in NFPA style electrical schematics and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- 4 years of experience in Programmable Logic Controller (PLCs), Servo Drives, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and other industrial components.
- 4 years of experience programming robots, PLCs and industrial vision systems (Cognex, Keyence or OpenCV).

Responsibilities
- Design automation and robotics equipment for Google Data Centers for mechanical and electrical system development, including requirements gathering, concepts generation, detailed design, analysis, verification testing, cross-functional reviews and production release.
- Work with Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Controls Engineers, and Software Engineers to define technical requirements and influence project direction.
- Create full system design packages that can be used for build and print duplication of equipment.
- Operate fully autonomously within a project, providing cross-functional and organizational influence on projects.
