Seeking a DevOps Engineer, Junior (2) local to the DMV area.
Hybrid w/ one day a week in the office and 1 week a quarter is REQUIRED.
Job Description Summary:
Manages, administers, supports and enhances container-based environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Applies advanced consulting skills and/or extensive technical expertise; full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction; mentors and may supervise team members. Bachelors degree and 3+ years directly related experience or Masters degree and 1+ years directly related experience. Years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree for certain roles. Certifications may be accepted in lieu of a degree for certain technical roles.

As a DevSecOps engineer on our team, you’ll use your development experience to streamline our software development lifecycle from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious, boring tasks and free up the team’s developers to do what they do best – innovate. You’ll implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. This is an opportunity to build your experience in modern, cloud native software development.

Work in a dynamic, large team environment supporting a large–scale government program, using next–gen tools, standards, and processes, including Kubernetes, GitLab CI, Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform/Terragrunt, and Python. Design and develop DevOps pipeline to drive rapid delivery of functionality using CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, AWS CodeDeploy, etc. Use state of the art diagnostic tools and monitoring systems to provide analysis on Web application errors, including the identification and investigation of application behavior through code and log analysis and business logic
You Have:
· Experience in an Infrastructure, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineer role
· Experience automating, monitoring and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in a production environment
· Experience deploying applications into Kubernetes via Helm
· 1+ years experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
· Experience with Agile methods and practices
· Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, or Configuration as Code, including Ansible
· Secret clearance
· Bachelor’s degree
· Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification within 30 days of hire
Nice If You Have:
· Experience with GitOps tooling including Flux or Argo CD and Kustomize
· Experience implementing Cloud-Native solutions to accelerate application development
· Experience with Identity Authentication and Authorization, including Single-Sign-On, SAML, or OpenID
· Knowledge of Linux or UNIX administration and automation
· Bachelor’s degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering
· AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate Certification or AWS Certified Developer – Associate Certification
Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
