About the role
Our Global Analytics Hub is the backbone of our 120+ person strong analytics practice globally. The Analytics Hub functions as a center of excellence in creating efficiencies and driving standardization across all Essence Analytics teams in North America, Europe, and APAC. The Hub is involved in multiple areas of the business including media campaign analytics, tool development & automation, and is critical to the continued success of Essences Global Analytics offering.
This role in the Global Analytics Hub Team, reporting directly to the Senior Director, is responsible for quantifying and measuring the success of our executions and plays a pivotal role in data management, operations, reporting, and delivering insights that enable us to innovate the work we deliver at Essence. You will be liaising with other regional teams and external vendors and will be responsible for a team of analysts.
Some of the things we’d like you to do
- Leverage your existing media analytics knowledge to develop an understanding of the end-to-end Essence analytics process and work with global teams
- Improve the efficiency of existing processes by identifying opportunity areas for standardization across regions and accounts
- Collaborate cross-functionally and lead your team in project setup, analysis, and post-campaign reviews and ensure compliance and take direct responsibility for the quality of work
- Liaise closely with multiple stakeholders on project intake and execution to assess requirements, ensure best-in-class work is being delivered, and become their trusted advisor
- Build an understanding of marketing plans and their objectives to be able to advise on best practices in media measurement, data management, automation, and campaign reporting.
- Provide direction and leadership to direct reports, working with them on goals, motivations, and career progression
- Play a prominent role in the induction of new employees, teaching them Essences approach to Analytics
- Work across, and with, all bands, disciplines, and offices, ensuring continuous collaboration and progression.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 8+ years of industry experience in insights and data-focused role
- Demonstrable proficiency with systems such as SQL, Social Analytics tools, Python, and/or R
- Strong analytical skills – Ability to analyze raw data, find insights and provide actionable strategic recommendations
- Prior experience of having worked on statistical and analytical techniques
- Have experience around process development and improvement & optimization of processes
- Have a high understanding of Brand & Performance campaigns, their objectives and measurement techniques, A/B Testing, significance tests and/or market research, Data Science toolkit & cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).
- Strong verbal and written communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels within the business
- 3+ years of experience in managing a team (sometimes remotely) effectively to bring out the best in their skill sets, motivating them to succeed, and keeping their focus.
- Strong work ethic, with ability to manage multiple projects, people, and time zones to meet deadlines and deliver results, proficiency in process management
- Prior experience in marketing analytics or a digital agency/consulting will be highly desirable.
