- The Senior Manager-Banking Risk (Risk Analytics) profile expected to contribute to the strategic direction of the NBFC through the development and implementation of Risk Management strategies, policies and procedures, portfolio monitoring covering –
- To provide data / Analytical / Scoring support to all stakeholders in enabling right decision making at all levels
- Acquisition, Portfolio and collection management Analytics Framework.
- Engagement with Partners for co-lending portfolio review and provide data insight.
- Engagement with business to identify business opportunities by identifying cohorts.
- Creation of database
- Analysis of customer demographics, investments, and bureau variables to build customer segmentation.
- Identification and Review of Marginal segments and best performing segments by analysis of multiple variables.
- Models to be created to identify customer type, Imputed income and obligation of the customers by using alternative data.
- Risk based Pricing model
- Collection and portfolio tracking framework
- Automation of portfolio risk and collection metrics to provide regular update to management .
- Loss management (ECL) model.
- Liasioning with inhouse team partners to build robust monitoring framework.
- Engagement with Bureau to build bureau-based models
- Management risk review pack on Portfolio
- Defining SOP s.
Key Responsibilities:
- The position is involved with defining the strategies associated with Credit, Collections, Operational and Risk containment risks, with the main focus being Credit Collections Risk. Key responsibilities being: –
- Analyze data to better understand potential risks, concerns and outcomes of decisions
- Aggregate data from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive assessment
- Create reports, summaries, presentations and process documents to display results
- Develop systems and processes for gathering and storing data for analytic projects
- Conduct research into potential clients and understand the risks of accepting each one
- Monitor internal and external data points that may affect the risk level of a decision
- To ensure the Risk Management Framework is effectively embedded and communicated across the credit Risk organisation
- To drive analytics in partnership with business to determine the target portfolio for the retail business
- To provide analytics support to enable policy decisions to grow / reduce the business in line with the business- Risk Appetite and target portfolio.
- To monitor the health of the portfolio in terms of both long term vintage performance and loss forecasting.
- Active participation in the prioritisation of credit risk scorecards as per the retail client strategy
- Reviewing the credit scorecards/risk segmentation criteria to evaluate if they remain predictive of risk
- Ensure the upgrading the analytical abilities in the credit space (including system and people capability).
- Present data analysis findings in a clear and concise manner and offer recommendations based on key insights uncovered
- Develop predictive dynamic monitoring procedures/system for Risk Management Department.
- Prepare monthly Risk review Decks for required reporting.
- Automated Risk dashboards to be developed for regular monitoring and reporting
- Need to work on ECL to define threshold metrics for portfolio. Preparation of loss forecasting to meet the required thresholds.
- Coordinate with other departments such as Credit, IT, Operations and collections, in order to create an efficient and effective communication via the functional lines.
- Support in collections strategies with detailed analytical based analysis.

- In depth understanding of lending portfolio risk metrics and their implications.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Risk Management practices including policy/procedure development.
- Excellent at analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prepare and analyze comprehensive reports as and when required.
- Excellent communication, organizational and managerial skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily deadlines for projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to inform managers and other stakeholders of results
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Visio and other analysis programs
- Ability to manage multiple projects and programs at the same time to complete work
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with data
- Quantitative and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to understand new analytical concepts
- Basic knowledge of programming languages, such as SQL and Python
- Presentation skills, including public speaking and presentation creation using PowerPoint or a similar program
