Job Summary
The Junior Business Analyst – MDM is responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to understand how IT can support their business needs and implementing changes to systems and processes to meet those needs surrounding Master Data Management (MDM).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborates with internal staff to understand the MDM needs to be supported by IT.
- Assists in the creation of system trainings, materials, and other educational tools for the end user.
- Evaluates business processes, anticipates requirements, uncovers areas for improvement, and develops and implements solutions as directed.
- Designs and supports the MDM workflow and processes.
- Responds to inquiries and provides advice regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs.
- Sets realistic project plans with tasks and dates, providing regular updates to users.
- Produces MDM audit reports and timelines to communicate expectations and progress to key stakeholders.
- Maintains and ensures proper documentation and coordinates or performs testing of system modifications.
- Communicates changes with all relevant users as part of change management.
- Satisfies data sampling, project analysis, testing verification, and other ad hoc user requests from existing databases.
- Acts as a liaison between IT and external vendors to support systems.
- Maintains current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices.
- Works with key stakeholders on extracting data, operational improvements, and how to use the system effectively.
- Performs data loads.
- Communicates status reports, project plans, and help desk tickets.
- Attends and contributes to weekly staff meetings.
- Is reliable and punctual in reporting for work as scheduled.
- Maintains professionalism at all times.
- Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Required Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and adapt to changing situations and priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 as well as ERP software (QAD, SAP, JD Edwards, or similar systems)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Resilient with a positive attitude
- Self-motivated and solid work ethic
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field
- Previous experience with MDM
Physical Requirements
- Continuous sitting
- Occasional bending, pushing, and pulling
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
