This role will lead the design and implementation of advanced data analytics solutions by connecting data driven analytics to business decisions .The incumbent will be a key point of contact for all commercial functions and business teams across EM and will be accountable for identifying the performance gaps , areas of efficiencies and provide data driven insights to key Business stakeholders . This is a hands-on role and the successful candidate should be comfortable working in an agile environment and capable of addressing the business needs at an accelerated pace.
Key Responsibilities
Broad-level responsibilities:
Create and lead the implementation of an annual analytics charter aligned to business priorities
Work with business stakeholders to statistically validate business hypotheses and generate new insights to solve business problems that may not be defined structured well
Manage entire decision science life cycle –
o Refine business problems into solvable analytics problems after evaluating data availability data quality
o Define modelling strategy for building robust predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions products
o Code, deploy, test, refine and productionize these models
o Measure value of analytics solution
o Continuous monitoring and improvement of analytics models
Collaborate and partner effectively with various stakeholders across the enterprise, including CI, Marketing, Sales, Digital, Finance, and Technology teams; respond to ad hoc strategic business questions from senior management
Actively participate in the strategic roadmap for shaping and transforming the Business Analytics function and advancing the vision for enabling next generation of analytics at GSK
Lead analyses that answer key business questions and inform strategy for the key focus products for EM
Partner with leaders in the analytics team and the commercial organization to understand key business challenges and questions which can be addressed using analytics
Identify and analyze data from disparate data sources to provide a comprehensive and unbiased point of view on performance supported by analytical insights
Measure impact of promotional tactics to inform marketing spend for key brands
Integrate analytics insights with complementary information to address business challenges (ex. Market Research, Payer Insights, Sales Force Analytics, etc.)
Participate in Monthly performance reviews and lead deep dives into brand performance
Develop and deliver clear and concise presentations tailored to audiences of various backgrounds
Be passionate about and bring a sense of curiosity to data exploration, to proactively uncover new insights around brand and market performance
Continually learn new analytical skills, techniques and tools to maximize competitive advantage; participate in internal external analytics communities
Give direction to offshore support and partner with external agencies as needed
Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience Required
1.Hands-on experience focused in analytics and performance tracking.
2.Experience working with large datasets, presenting that data in meaningful ways and deriving actionable insights; presenting insights back to stakeholders.
3. Knowledge of various data structures and common methods in data analytics, as well as:
- Data management basics (SQL queries, database connections)
- Data preparation (e.g. data cleaning including filtering and variable transformation)
- Proficiency in programming language(s) such as Python or R
4.Experience in dashboard tools (Tableau, PowerBI, QlikView,)
5.Experience of working with data lakes and big data environment in cloud, with tools like Azure data factory, talend, Databricks and others
6. Knowledge of the data landscape in healthcare (external and internal data, specialty, Lead and Lag KPIs etc.) and/or experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or consulting.
7.Demonstrated initiative, judgment and discretion while handling sensitive information.
8.Evidence of enthusiasm for data and drive to share that knowledge and excitement with others
