Job Description :

 

Our client in PA is looking to hire a remote business analyst w/scriptmed experience. They are looking for someone with a pharma background but specifically they must have Scriptmed.

 

HM is looking for people with experience using the ScriptMed application as a strong preference. Secondary to ScriptMed experience, looking for candidates that have worked within the Specialty Pharmacy, or Pharmacy industry. Below are some additional skill sets and backgrounds HM is looking for, but this would be in addition to ScriptMed and/or Specialty Pharmacy experience.

1.           Technical Background Expertise in SQL (writing complex queries, support scripts)

               Familiar with API’s/ microservices

               Dev Tools (cloud troubleshooting)

               Database familiarity to handle more problem solving tasks. Scope creation for SME, etc

2.           Implementation Background Experience with working with external clients

               Experience taking a client live with a software application

               Familiarity with UAT testing, and product support

               Skills with external client training

3.           Front End Software Application Experience learning a new front end software application and UI

               Experience with training/ demoing

               Documentation skills

               Preferably someone that has performed some configuration within the application

4.           Revenue Cycle Management with Pharmacy or Medical Billing  Experience with medical claim submission

               Understanding EDI 837, 835 transactions (not just reviewing the data – understanding the process)

               Experience with Cash Applications, Check transactions, Collections, Claim Adjustments, and WriteOffs

 

The Business Analyst is the liaison between the design and development teams and the client to define the objectives and requirements of the client. Finalizes the implementation process by implementing development plans Duties and Responsibilities: Works with client to understand their requirements of the system; Works with Product development to communicate the clients needs and provide business case for enhancement requests; Accountable for assigned functional track and deliverables, and assist QA and Support with understanding Client needs; Creating and maintaining deliverables within assigned area; Participates in testing the product before it is released to the client; Assist in triaging escalated system defects and/or providing clarification on defects and works to resolve them; Integrated as part of the full client lifecycle RFP; Demos; Project Kick-Off; Implementation; Go Live; Optimizations; Collaborate with the Product Manager on Product/Knowledge Share; Provide support to the team during implementation as well as post go live; Provide support to SMEs for client training initiatives; Document and maintain deliverables (requirements document, Configuration Design Doc, etc); Document process workflow; Build and configure system based on design; Ensuring configuration meets requirements and works as expected; Maintain industry expertise; Provide support for internal training events as necessary; Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected; Maintain compliance with Inovalons policies, procedures and mission statement; Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalons Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company; Uphold responsibilities relative to the separation of duties for applicable processes and procedures within your job function; and We reserve the right to change this job description from time to time as business needs dictate and will provide notice of such.

 

Skills

 

Job Requirements: Minimum of 4 years of experience as a software business analyst; Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare/specialty pharmacy related environment; Must be familiar with healthcare/pharmacy system designs and concepts; Possesses excellent communication, organizational and observational skills; Proficient problem solving skills with good judgment and decision making; Must be goal-oriented and focused; Work well as a member of a team; and Possess SQL and Crystal Reports skills. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Sedentary work ( i.e. sitting for long periods of time) Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force; Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions; Subject to inside environmental conditions; and Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.

 

Education

 

  • Associates degree required Bachelor’s degree in a related area of Healthcare and IT preferred
