As a member of the Data and Digitalization team, you will bring your machine learning and data expertise to collaborate with cross-functional teams to:
- Conduct research and build prototypes to solve issues in which a solution is uncertain or ambiguous.
- Plan and execute ideas, conduct experiments, and summarize findings.

Work Location
The position will be based in the Chicagoland area at the GTI Energy Headquarters. While local candidates are preferred, GTI Energy does provide seasonal housing assistance for the right candidate.
Primary Responsibilities
- Development of data-base machine learning algorithms
- Application of statistical and machine learning methods to analyze large, complex datasets
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics
- Ability to work independently and proactively ask for guidance and recommendations
- Ability to communicate and work collaboratively across function in a team environment
- Experience building systems based on machine learning
- Background/interest in environmental issues, decarbonization technologies, or the energy field a plus
Education And Experience
- Active senior or graduate student working toward a degree in a technical or quantitative field, e.g., computer science or engineering, information technology, mathematics
