Responsibilities


Summary:

Our consultants on the Advanced Analytics & Intelligent Automation team help clients maximize the value of their data and automate business processes. This high performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data querying and wrangling to data engineering, to data visualization, dashboarding, and business intelligence, to predictive analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence as well as robotic process automation (RPA). Our services enable our clients to define their information strategy, enable mission critical insights and data-driven decision making, reduce cost and complexity, increase trust, and improve operational effectiveness.


Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Belong to a collaborative team dedicated to Advanced Analytics and Intelligent Automation.
  • Focus on client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development in data science, data analytics, and/or data engineering.
  • Work as a data scientist / data analytics professional in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Continue career development in data science and data analytics software, methods, and consulting.

Qualifications


Required:

  • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
  • B.S. or B.A. in a relevant quantitative and computational discipline.
  • 3 years of relevant professional experience OR 2 years of relevant professional experience and a relevant master’s degree.
  • Ability to analyze large and complex datasets (structured and unstructured), with a strong aptitude for conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Ability to query and join data using SQL.
  • Proficiency in wrangling and cleaning data using Python and/or R and loading it into a data warehouse.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining dashboards using Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Power BI.
  • Ability to identify and define key performance indicators based on understanding the client’s mission and business needs.
  • Ability to uphold strong data management.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong consulting skills: identifying and addressing client needs, building relationships, driving initiatives forward.
  • Ability to support business development including RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses and white papers.
  • Ability to operate successfully on 100% remote projects as well as the ability to support a hybrid on-site work plan in the DC metro area.


Preferred:

  • M.S. or M.A. in a relevant quantitative and computational discipline.
  • Understanding of database / data warehouse concepts.
  • Ability to create algorithms and develop predictive models using Python and/or R.
  • Any additional skills relevant to a data scientist, data analytics, or data engineer professional.
  • Knowledge of Federal sector organizations.

Additional Requirements

The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
  • Selected Candidate must be able to work Eastern Standard Hours.
  • This is an exempt level role that may require more than 40 hours of work per week.
