Responsibilities
Engagement Support: Support delivery of analytic solutions by producing and communicating analytic deliverables for both internal and external clients. Common responsibilities include:
- Support delivery of project-based analytics engagements for Healthcare consulting engagements across multiple clients and teams concurrently
- Leverage analytic models and tools to provide high quality outputs and insights for Healthcare clients in multiple content domains
- Collaborate with Healthcare Analytics colleagues and Guidehouse consulting teams to problem solve and provide content expertise to tailor solutions for individual clients
- Produce analytics for use in sales pursuits that link to solutions and services
Solution Development: Collaborate with Healthcare practice and Analytic Development team to innovate and develop analytic solutions. Common responsibilities include:
- Play lead role in developing tools and processes to optimize production efficiency and increase technical capability by translating business needs into actionable data-manipulation steps
- Collaborate with team members, content experts, and client stakeholders to document business requirements and create database/tool specifications.
- Configure and develop data structures, production processes, QA processes, and reports/visualizations
- Develop relationships with consulting teams and content experts to drive continued innovation
- Incorporate client feedback and experience into solutions to foster continual improvement
Qualifications
Qualifications
- B.S. (or M.S. / relevant work experience); degrees may include but not limited to: Business, Healthcare Policy/Administration, Health Informatics, Computer Science, MIS, Data Science.
- Professional experience in data warehousing with expertise in writing SQL queries
- Proficient with business intelligence visualization tools and experience developing in them (Tableau, PowerBI, Spotfire, QLIK, or similar)
- Advanced level Excel skills (Macros, Pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, Index/Match, SUMIFS, etc.)
- Highly motivated, driven, and dynamic attitude towards work and career.
- Champion of data analytics and its potential to guide critical business decisions and impact Healthcare
- Strong technical understanding of data modeling, design, architecture principles, and techniques to take business requirements from concept to implementation
- Strong ability and desire to utilize technology to solve complex problems
- A strong problem solver and fast learner with demonstrated analytic and quantitative skills
- Detail-oriented in approach to work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Minimal travel required (0-10%): option to work from home or in a nearby Guidehouse office
- Experience working as an analyst in a hospital decision support role or an analytics function
- Prior Healthcare experience within:
- Labor Productivity
- Corporate Services
- Clinical Effectiveness (LOS, cost per case, clinical variability)
- Supply Chain
- Proven experience working with programming languages specifically Python, JavaScript, and/or R
