Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Plan, facilitate, and generate process artifacts
- Provide advisory services to clients related to process improvement, organizational design, strategy, and change management
- Be detail oriented, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities and ad hoc requests in an agile environment
- Balance a variety of assignments and independently manage time and resources to deliver quality work by established deadlines
- Build client relationships by anticipating and addressing client needs, leveraging the firm’s intellectual property, and sharing ideas for new content
- Support project management activities, including routine status reports, quality control, risk analysis, and mitigation planning
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resource Management, Finance, Accounting, or Economics. Substitution of years of experience for degree is possible.
- Minimum Years of Experience: 7 years
- Experience analyzing and/or designing business processes, recommending improvements, and using process mapping software such as Microsoft Visio
- Knowledge and understanding of organizational design and enterprise-wide operations in some of the following areas: business operations, financial management, information technology, and/or human resources. This includes exposure to building detailed organization designs including reporting relationships and complex linkages
- Proven abilities with identifying and addressing client needs and delivering quality results in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, including leveraging MS Project and MS Office Suite
- Collect and organize data effectively and perform basic analysis such as benchmarking reports and financial, market, and operational analyses
- Structure approaches to solve discrete problems and deliver clear requests for information
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to present a concept in a way that connects with the audience. Convey ideas clearly in an oral and written manner, both one-on-one and in small groups
- Apply research and analytical skills to support thought leadership and intellectual property development
- Proven track record of success as a team member by:
- Contributing to a positive work environment by building solid relationships with colleagues
- Understanding individual and team roles
- Seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback when necessary
- Hybrid Positions: Compensation may vary based on education, skills, experience and location. Selected candidate must be local and able to work from one of the following offices: Tysons, VA (HQ); Washington DC; Tampa, FL; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Huntsville, AL as needed. Client meetings may be required in-person
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or Organizational Behavior
- Professional Certification(s) (e.g., Quality Assurance, analytical tools, Lean Six Sigma Certified Green Belt, PMP, CAPM)
- Experience with project management, talent management (including development and delivery of learning programs), change management, and risk management
- Experience with emerging technologies (e.g., software development and automation; cloud-hosting; data warehouses, lakes, and fabric; and/or advanced analytics)
- Experience with empathic and highly collaborative user experience (UX) Design Thinking/Human-Centered Design and rapid prototyping
- The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
- Selected Candidate must be able to work Eastern Standard Hours.
