HUIT is responsible for refreshing up to 7700 computers every 4 years for Central Administration, School Of Engineering And Applied Sciences, Radcliffe and Faculty of Arts and Sciences. This position will be responsible for a broad range of areas including asset and inventory management, computer refresh scheduling, Excel and database administration, knowledge management, report building and business analysis. The position involves analyzing and resolving complex customer and technical problems involving multiple technologies.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting & Analytics
- Produces and maintains departmental computer inventories on a quarterly basis.
- Participates in measuring performance and capturing/reporting on lessons learned to continuously improve the refresh process
- Interacts with stakeholders to resolve deployment-related issues, escalating as required
- Collaborates with technical and support teams to improve computer refresh and support
- Conduct lease reconciliations with our leasing vendor’s database
- Manages deployment-related lease schedules from inception through completion
Asset Management
- Manages inventory and asset tracking:
- Process assets through the disposition lifecycle including asset updates, asset swaps, data destruction and pallet work
- Manages asset-related issues to reduce impact on customers
Computer Refresh Scheduling
- Schedules, coordinates, and plans computer refreshes with all supported departments
- Conducts outreach to schedule individual refreshes as they relate to overall schedule
- Prepares orders for computers and related computer refresh hardware and/or software
- Manages scheduling issues to reduce impact on customers
Project Management/Business Analysis
- Perform user needs analysis, product evaluation, selection, customization, testing, implementation, documentation creation and support
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into systems requirements and scoping
- Contribute to the definition of systems requirements, conduct gap analysis, and identify feasible alternative solutions that meet defined business objectives
- Work at a high level within a team on most phases of service analysis and consider the business implications of technology applications to the current and future business environment
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience

- 3-5 years’ experience coordinating the delivery of technology solutions in a client centric organization.
- Strong MS Excel and database skills
- Strong customer service skills with a proven track record.
- A willingness to take ownership and be accountable is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong technical background that will allow for an understanding of infrastructure/environment.
- Asset management experience preferred.
- Project Management experience preferred.
- Experience with business process analysis. An understanding of business requirements and design solutions is preferred.
- Qualtrics experience preferred.
- ServiceNow experience preferred.
- Possesses good listening skills.
- Supports team building.
- Demonstrates high ethics and values and embraces diversity.
- Establishes and maintains interpersonal relationships.
- Works to meet the goals of HUIT with enthusiasm and a spirit of cooperation.
- Demonstrated ability to master new software applications and technologies.

- Physical Demands: Significant amount of standing. Frequent bending, lifting, handling, and reaching. Occasional push/pulling, squatting, and climbing. Ability to handle up to 25lbs.
