This position is part of the Blue Insight team supporting a web-based reporting tool used by brokers, large / national accounts, and our internal Sales & Account management teams in supporting annual plan benefit reviews and identifying healthcare trends.

Responsibilities include supporting backend data requirements and research, end-to-end testing, working with internal and external customers to meet reporting and analytic needs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors’ Degree and three (3) years’ experience to include but not limited to: Business Intelligence and reporting tools (e.g. Cognos, Tableau or similar online reporting tools), or relational databases and reporting systems in data warehouse environments, or in client reporting support, and reporting analysis

Four (4) years’ experience to include but not limited to: Business Intelligence and reporting tools (e.g. Cognos, Tableau or similar online reporting tools), or relational databases and reporting systems in data warehouse environments, or in client reporting support, and reporting analysis.

Understanding of the importance of metadata for reporting.

Understanding in JAD (joint application design) facilitation or other requirements gathering techniques.

Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences in both written and verbal form.

Analytical, conceptual and root cause analysis skills.

Work on multiple projects simultaneously both independently and as part of a team to accomplish goals.

Interpersonal, presentation, verbal, written and communication skills

Requires in-depth knowledge and experience

Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services

Independently solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions

Works independently, receives minimal guidance

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of other staff members

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred candidate will have SQL experience, validating extract code and processes, and research data from our Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Experience with healthcare data analysis

Some nights and weekend availability will be required.
