Job Location: New York State

The Technical Development Business Analyst (TD-BA) is responsible for facilitating the operations data process and creation of artifacts relating to activities ensuring operational effectiveness. The TD-BA owns project goals by developing project plans, establishing deadlines, monitoring milestone completion, providing timely reporting of issues that impact progress and resolving conflicts. This includes performing research and analysis to describe and communicate the future state in a cohesive and comprehensive format. The incumbent will contribute to defining and implementing process improvement opportunities and technical design activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the technical data solution design and development discussion and activities
  • Participate in the programming of data tools/apps (Alteryx/SAS/Python/VBA) and databases
  • Query and manipulate data (using Alteryx/SQL/Python) to identify variance and root cause, analyze trend, summarize findings, and develop recommendations for stakeholders
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of AWS Data Mart and Data Assets
  • Facilitates analysis meetings and sessions in support of departmental and enterprise initiatives
  • Create documentation on application spec, capabilities, and processes associated with the assigned projects demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness
  • Prepare routine reports (financial, quality, production, operational efficiency, etc.) and other duties as assigned
  • Align with Agile program and business teams on technological roadmap and strategic goals
  • Promote an environment conducive to creativity, info exchange, and change
  • Facilitating analysis sessions and delivering presentations using Tableau and/or Powerpoint
  • Diagnose system/application issue and provide quality assurance testing
  • Analyze and recommend technical solution to address process deficiencies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Experience working with SQL in creating, editing, and executing queries
  • Experience in creating Tableau/Power BI visualizations, dashboard, and presentations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Advance) for data analytics
  • Experience in facilitating analysis sessions and delivering presentations
  • Experience in gathering and converting business requirements to data and programming logic
  • Ability to communicate complex technical context to all levels in the organization including business stakeholders and executives
  • Candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively in team setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with AWS data environment (Redshift, PostgreSQL, S3) and applications
  • Experience working with Python programming (PySpark knowledge is a PLUS)
  • Experience in creating, editing, and executing queries using SAS Base, SAS Enterprise Guide, and Alteryx Designer
