The Data Quality Analyst’s primary duty is to work with enterprise data management, data governance, and data quality (DQ) leaders to help ensure the successful execution of the data governance program across business areas, support data stewardship activities, and support data quality and related data management initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Work with Henny Penny subject matter experts (SMEs) and data stewards to define Henny Penny critical data elements (CDE) and list the associated valid values, relationships, and other metadata in company’s data governance tool, OvalEdge.
- Work with business stakeholders and SMEs to define data quality business rules and later map them into DQ dimensions to support automated DQ management.
- Build DQ business rules in OvalEdge using their functions, write Structured Query Language (SQL), and JavaScript.
- Perform in-depth data analysis on existing data and identify anomalies based on defined data requirements.
- Collaborate with DQ team and database developers to cleanse poor quality data at its source and validate results.
- Monitor the quality of incoming data in OvalEdge to identify any errors or corrections needed.
- Assist the DG and DQ teams in growing our enterprise business glossary and data catalog in OvalEdge.
- Other data related projects to support Henny Penny’s digital transformation efforts.

What We’re Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in business functions with some systems experience. SQL background is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business/technology or equivalent level of experience.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis is a plus.
- Demonstrated capabilities to support and execute project plans.
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new methods and applying them appropriately.
- Experience in supporting projects while meeting operational responsibilities
- Experience working and effectively collaborating across teams and an organization.
- Must be operationally knowledgeable, action-oriented, and continually striving for improvement.
- Strong critical thinking ability and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently with light to moderate supervision in various areas of responsibility.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Works well in a team environment and is effective with a variety of different teams.
