Role
We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist with an analytical mind and passion for creating datasets and providing analysis to decision makers. Experience creating dashboards is also a requirement. Our goal is to improve various aspects of our product through clever analysis and bringing the most joy to our subscribers. Building metrics to better understand and improve efficiency in growth and usability will also be an exciting aspect of your work.
Responsibilities:
- Perform data analysis and develop dashboards, reports, presentations and data products that present insights in an intuitive manner
- You are an expert in a data-oriented programming language preferably SQL, and intuitive dashboard/visualization design in real time
- Apply systems analysis techniques to internal services at Herewith, including writing SQL queries, establishing alerting around key performance indicators, and creating visualizations to establish clear baselines on product complexity and prioritization
- Create meaningful internal databases and source, bring in and work with external data sets where needed
- Identify opportunities to tell new data stories
- Articulate findings clearly to research lead in different formats
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 1+ year of relevant experience in a highly analytical environment
- University degree in economics, data science or engineering, finance, statistics or related field
- Analytical mind with a good grasp of spreadsheet-based tools such as Excel or Google Sheets with demonstrated expertise in SQL Experience with R is also a plus.
- You have an eye for detail, good data intuition, and a passion for data quality
- The successful candidate should also have the ability to organize, analyze and exploit data using statistical techniques
- We need a creative individual who is able to leverage data for the needs of different teams
- Good communication with a wide variety of technical and non-technical partners is key
- Work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Good to Have
- You appreciate the importance of great documentation and data debugging skills
- Experience with BI/visualizations tools such as Tableau and Google Data Studio

- Healthcare / Eldercare domain knowledge
