Supply Chain Data Analytics Internship – Indianapolis, IN (Onsite and Remote)
Your Opportunity:
The Herff Jones Operations team is looking for a graduate student interested in Data Analytics to engage with our team on various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity.
Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact:
In this program, the student will provide entry to intermediate level project support, extracting and managing data metrics for the business, as well as building out and structuring of the files under the supervision of professional staff. During the internship, the student will have the opportunity to build and develop skills related to owning the data management for operations of the business, as well as tracking and reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly schedules of the business’s metrics. A balance of priorities will be key to operating successfully in the role.
What You’ll Be Doing on A Daily Basis:
Working with the business to extract and analyze data, they will use for their daily jobs
Update data dashboards and files
Manage orders coming in from outside customer
Manage the data tables to ensure correct information is being presented to the business
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Progress towards a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Proven success to effectively communicate (listening, writing and verbal)
INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED skills with Microsoft Office and learning new systems/technology with understanding some work is processed manually
Demonstrated success in data file management and ability to make complicated data from multiple sources into a clear and concise report
Excel (power & pivot tables/sensitivity analysis/formulas)
Experience, and, or, working knowledge of Python or R programming language a plus
Building out of file structure
Knowledge of formatting data for dashboards
Physical Activities:
No or very limited physical effort required
Work is normally preformed in a typical interior/office work setting at a computer
