Position Overview
The EHS Data Analyst is an integral part of the EHS team supporting the Company’s environmental, health, safety and sustainability strategy and initiatives by enabling a culture of data-driven decision making, system-supported problem solving, and predictive analyses. The Analyst will acquire, manage, interpret, and transform data into accurate, consistent and timely user-friendly formats for reports distributed throughout the organization. The EHS Data Analyst will support the EHS function through internal and external reporting, data management and process improvement, while assisting the EHS and Sustainability team with subject matter expertise in various systems.
Job Responsibilities
Serves as the subject matter expert, primary point of contact and relationship manager for the operational EHS reporting system, Benchmark ESG (formerly GenSuite).
Supports other EHS and Sustainability reporting systems, including Diligent Sustainability Reporting Software, Encamp, etc.
Supports data gathering for metrics and reporting for EHS and Sustainability
Validates reported data and ensures data quality
Analyzes data and reports key performance indicators (KPI’s) and trends to various internal and external audiences using pivot tables, charts, graphs and updating appropriate dashboards. Translates data into user friendly formats using data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
Coordinate with EHS IT resources to ensure compliance with Company IT policies and evaluate opportunities for system connections in order to reduce manual processes
Documents and maintains process workflows and data workflows for EHS and Sustainability data and metrics reporting and tracking processes, and seeks opportunities for efficiency and process improvement
Exhibits ability to communicate with individuals and groups, both internal and external and provides data and analysis that is understandable to the user and meets stakeholder needs.
Supports EHS and Sustainability special projects and strategic initiatives by providing supporting data and analytical expertise.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in data analytics
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) preferred
Basic understanding programming/ query language (SQL, Python, R)
Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize data and communicate across a broad range of stakeholders
Ability to work in fast paced environment and self-directed at times
Ability to be a resourceful, self-starter
Education Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or Statistics And Decision Science Physical Requirements Travel Requirements 10% Domestic Travel Other
