Position Overview
The Analytics & Data Integration team is responsible for data acquisition, reporting, analytics and dashboards using data from SAP and non-SAP systems. The front-end BI Developer focuses on the development and support of Reporting solutions using predominantly SAP Business objects WEBI, Analysis for office, Lumira, Crystal and Power BI for Reporting and Dashboards.
The current technical landscape includes the following – Data Warehouse: SAP BW 7.5 on HANA, SQL datamarts; Analytics/Dashboards: SAP Business Objects 7.3 (Lumira, Analysis for office, Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports) & Microsoft Power BI; Data Integration: SAP Data Services and SAP HANA Smart Data Access (SDA)/Integration (SDI), SSIS.
In this position BI Reporting Developer/Analyst II will be responsible for development and production support of BI Reporting solutions. On the project, they would be part of a US led project team supporting reporting and Dashboarding business requirements, analysis, design, development and post go-live support. For production support, they would support tickets and work with the team to fix/escalate issues as appropriate.
The BI Reporting Developer/Analyst II will be located in Westlake Bengaluru office in India and work closely with the US based Information Systems technical team located in Houston, TX.

Job Responsibilities
- Project Delivery
- Contribute to Reporting and Dashboarding aspect of project development as part of a US led project team.
- Work independently with the business though business requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing and post go-live support.
- Develop rapid dashboard prototypes to support design sprint sessions.

Production Support
- Monitor the production support queue and work with the business for ticket resolution. These may include questions on data discrepancies between SAP ERP and BW, reports, performance, security, fixing bugs and/or small enhancements to existing analytics.
- Performance tuning and Troubleshooting.
- Analyze issues independently, use judgement to make decisions, and take necessary action
- Document existing processes for supportability and maintainability
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years of experience developing proficient Reporting and Dashboard solutions using BEx Designer, WEBI, Analysis for office, Lumira, Power BI
- Experience with using both SAP and non-SAP data sources as SAP Business warehouse, HANA and SQL databases for reporting
- Ability to solve problems, strong analytical skills and the ability to trace issues to the root cause
- Highly motivated and self-directed; independent worker, self-starter, ability to work without direct supervision. Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and design documents from high-level requirements and specifications
- Experience with Power BI admin and development

The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. - WORK ENVIRONMENT – The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.
- Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
