Job Location: Gurgaon/Gurugram, Delhi / NCR
The person will be part of the application development team for a major Insurance client. He/ She will work with different stakeholders to identify application development opportunities and perform cost benefit analysis on the same.
– The role will involve activities including design, build and configuration of applications to meet business process and application requirements.
– The person will also be required to participate actively in brainstorming sessions for improvement opportunities and take it to completion
– A suitable candidate should have 4-7 years of experience in a similar role and should possess a go -getter attitude. He/ She should be able to deal with ambiguity.
– Experience in life insurance preferred but not mandatory.

– Should be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client ready deliverable with minimal or no supervision
– Good communication skill for client interaction
Application development Skillsets :
– Experience in designing, implementation, and testing of Python application with understanding of object oriented programming, multi-tier architecture, parallel/ multi-threaded programming.
– Knowledge of Python web application framework such as Django, Flask, CherryPy, etc.
– Good understanding of Desktop Automation – Excel, Access, VBA; Desktop Applications – Windows Apps using .Net
– Good knowledge of Excel, Java, C++, C#, .Net, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
– Exposure to Python oriented machine learning algorithms and libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, etc.
– Knowledge of Agile/Waterfall methodology for application development and testing life-cycle
Data Management Skillsets :
– Ability to understand data in line with business use cases and requirements to identify patterns, data quality gaps, data lineage, etc.
– Should have strong grasp of advanced SQL functionalities (joins, nested query, and procedures).
– Strong ability to translate functional specifications / requirements to technical requirements
Candidate Profile :
– Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
– 4-7 years- experience in application development and automation, preferably in Life Insurance but not mandatory
