Boston based company with a dramatically growing online marketplace is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to become a part of their new data engineering team, which they are growing from the ground up to work with the latest tech.
Job Overview:
Our client is looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer to evolve their modern data warehousing platform. The company is rapidly growing and is looking for a candidate who would be interested in streamlining the way they do data.
Responsibilities:
- Gain an understanding of our data and analytics stack
- Make tactical decisions regarding the Data Platform domain
- Ability to make larger strategic decisions around data infrastructure, data quality, data observability, and data governance
- Buid data integration (ETL/ELT) pipelines with Python, SQL, dbt, and Airflow
- Build high quality data architecture
- Mentor junior engineers
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Experience developing and executing on a data warehouse/data platform strategy using modern data stacks (Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Docker)
- Expert experience looking at data platform architecture to drive strategic decisions
- Ability to work in a quick, and cross-functional team
- Highly skilled in SQL, Python, and system architecture
