As a Data Scientist at IBM, you will help transform our clients’ data into tangible business value by analyzing information, communicating outcomes and collaborating on product development. Work with Best in Class open source and visual tools, along with the most flexible and scalable deployment options. Whether it’s investigating patient trends or weather patterns, you will work to solve real world problems for the industries transforming how we live.
Your Role and Responsibilities
This position is an internal Data Scientist role with the Chief Analytics Office. You will work alongside consultants, managers, and senior data scientists to enhance business performance through analytics and data science focused initiatives.
The position’s main responsibilities include:
data exploration, extraction and manipulation, fact-based quantitative research using data visualization techniques, building innovative statistical and machine learning models, writing code, testing and validating solutions, interpreting output and performance of models in business terms, communicating findings to the team, and collaborating in a team environment
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Successful completion of an IBM Apprenticeship
- Proficiency in Python
- Understanding of database technologies, data structures and SQL
