Your Role and Responsibilities

As a member of the IBM Software Expert Labs Customer Care Elite team, you will work with IBM’s largest Clients, designing, developing, training, tuning, and integrating virtual assistants into the fabric of their businesses worldwide.
Each day, members of our team:
- Present to clients how Watson Assistant, Discovery, and Speech can transform how their business can work with employees and customers.
- Implement business conversational assistants in Watson Assistant and Watson Discovery, and customize virtual assistants speech recognition, and tailoring models to recognize jargon and products specific to our clients’ industries and services.
- Leverage their ML and NLP skills to evaluate performance and recommend improvements to virtual assistants and associated speech recognition model customizations.
- Develop extensions to Watson Assistant, creating integrations with client on-prem systems, and driving business processes from customer speech.
- Develop, with our business partners, 3-D avatars that provide a custom virtual faces to our virtual agents.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Extensive knowledge of machine learning concepts & features
- Expertise with NLP & Classification
- Experience with Python
- Fluency in GIT, pandas, NumPy.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience applying CRISP-DM or similar methodologies to data science projects;
- 5 years or more experience of Python with the ability to translate notebooks into callable services.
- Experience with Cloud Delivery: go from code, to container, to image repo, to running Kubernetes service.
- Ability to develop lightweight integrations using cloud / lambda functions
