Your Role and Responsibilities
All resources are expected to work overlapping with US Eastern time. Standard working hours 9am-5pm EST. (Keeping time preference in mind India CIC can recommend only landed resources)
Evening, Weekend assistance needed during release activities as appropriate
Duties :
- AWS technologies including but not limited to backup and restore, ASR, Network, NSG, troubleshooting and operational logging
- Build, deploy, and manage solutions for company-wide infrastructure challenges.
- Ensure high availability for underlying platforms and infrastructure for application use.
- Provide the tooling and guidance for engineering teams to monitor their service availability against pre-determined SLOs.
- Monitoring and alerting of our production environment.
- Collaborate with other software engineers around patterns and practices for highly available, fault tolerant and resilient applications.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience in AWS network design including NSG, Gateway, Firewalls, Subnets, Vnets. Knowledge of security constructs
- 5+ years overall experience within Operations, Production, Development or Engineering experience.
- 2-3 years Cloud experience; IaaS and PaaS for on-prem and/or public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP or IBM)
- Experience with Terraform deployments using AWS as appropriate.
- Experience with modern source control repositories (e g Git) and DevOps toolsets (Jenkins/ Ansible etc) and familiarity with Agile/ Scrum methodologies
- Demonstrated experience with AWS coding technologies ex: YAML, JSON, AWS Devkit
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- AWS Services like CloudWatch, Lamdba, Fargate, Route 52, ECS, ELB)
- Background with APM tools is a plus: ELK stack, Splunk as well as application monitoring tools like Prometheus and dashboarding with Grafana.
- Background with the following programming languages is also a plus: Java, Ruby or Golang.
- Containerization and Orchestration tools, (Kubernetes, EKS, Docker, OpenShift, AWS Fargate)
