Job Description:

Ibotta is seeking a Data Science intern to be a part of our innovative Core Data & Analytics team As a participant in our 2023 Summer Internship, you will have the opportunity to fully integrate with your team to directly contribute to ongoing Ibotta business initiatives. In addition to the daily time with your team, you participate in ongoing teach outs curated to help build skills essential to transitioning into the workforce and building your career. We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn, excited to work on real-world business challenges, and want to be part of a mission-driven company.

This will be a full-time, 12 week, internship during the summer of 2023. This position is located in Denver, Colorado with the option of full-time remote. Candidates must live in the United States.

Our newly formed and growing team provides high-quality and reliable products. We seek to understand, and share recommendations to spur business growth, serving as an expert within the company for delivering data and analytical solutions that solve complex, cross-functional challenges.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to help us build the data foundation and take it one step further by leveraging advanced analytical solutions. You’ll have the chance to work cross functionally and learn how different business partners use data and analytics to solve problems.

This position is located in Denver, Colorado or with the option of full-time remote. Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:

  • Initiating and driving collaboration with stakeholders and other teams to discover, define, cleanse, and refine the data needed for analysis and modeling
  • Building and analyzing large and novel datasets to extract actionable insights to inform model development and understand consumer behavior and or business trends
  • Running statistical or predictive analysis; creating models based on available data
  • Understanding and reporting business performance in detail and identifying opportunities for improving the app experience.

What we are looking for:

  • Juniors working towards a bachelor’s degree in analytics/mathematics/statistics/data science/computer science/economics or equivalent experience
  • Experience with languages such as Python, R, and SQL
  • Knowledge of data wrangling and exploration
  • Ability to develop, automate, visualize, analyze, and communicate learnings
  • Ability to work collaboratively throughout an organization

Additional details:

  • This position is located in Denver, CO or with the option of full-time remote and includes competitive pay.
  • The hourly compensation for this role is: $23.00 per hour worked. This compensation is specific only to Colorado.
