What would you do?
You will be a key member of a delivery team within the Energy Advisory Practice focused on analyzing policies to support the transition to clean energy across U.S. power markets. You will be primarily responsible for supporting project tasks, coordinating modeling analysis, and managing projects that deliver solutions to identified client problems, including review and presentation of analytical findings. You will work with managers and technical staff to coordinate the deployment of a variety of analytical and modeling techniques to develop forecasts of electricity market dynamics in response to city, state, and federal policies, as well as assessments of existing and proposed generation and transmission resources.
We are looking for professionals who can apply their energy market knowledge, analytic problem solving, and modeling skills, and work in a highly collaborative environment to address the key strategic challenges of utilities, regulators, NGOs, developers, and investors as they face rapidly changing energy markets.
Required:
-
Minimum of 1 year of work experience in energy market forecasting and policy analysis

1+ years of experience with energy market and capacity expansion modeling tools (e.g., PROMOD, Plexos, RESOLVE).

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree, preferably in engineering, operations research, economics, policy, or environmental science

Strong analytical aptitude, experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Highly mathematical / quantitative orientation

Experience in energy market, consulting experience, including project management, client exposure

Financial analysis

Strong oral and written communication skills

Working knowledge of data analysis tools and/or programming languages, such as R, Python, VBA, Tableau, Power BI)
