We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst for our Reference Labs team to join our growing, global company and shape the future of IDEXX’s big data business. You will be a core member of the Analytics team , a vibrant and committed group of entrepreneurial leaders paving the path for IDEXX in the commercial data space. What can you expect? In this role…

This exciting analytic role will support business partners worldwide.

You can expect, on a daily basis, to interact with European business partners and other analysts in the UK, Germany, Netherlands and US.

The role will need to primary support international business partners and be available GMT time zone.

You will use your experience with big data to lead analyses and reporting for various clients and audiences.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining custom analytics, forecasting methodologies, and statistical analyses for syndicated data products and ad hoc reporting.

Analyzing data through a business, industry and marketing lens, you will produce reports that influence executive-level strategy and add value for our clients.

You will also partner with Business Development, R&D, Marketing Research and other functional areas to develop plans to fuel future growth for this division.

What do you need to succeed?

5-8+ years of related work experience in a business environment

Proficient in statistical programming languages SAS and R (SAS certification preferred)

Experience with databases and their manipulation (SQL, Oracle, etc.)

Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Analytics or related discipline and Master’s Degree a plus

Experience working on a global team

Knowledge of reference labs a plus

Experience with distributed data structures, models & advanced tools

Experience executing statistical analyses to support analytical needs of business partners; managing and analyzing large data sets; preparing and presenting insights and recommendations to various audiences

Self-motivated, highly organized and ability to manage multiple priorities

Strong interpersonal, communication and team-building skills

Strong presentation skills, comfortable interacting at all levels of an organization

Advanced knowledge in predictive analytics and forecasting, data visualization, dashboards, report automation, and/or business intelligence tools a plus

Biomedical or scientific background or knowledge is a plus
